Title I Information
Title I, Part A is a federally funded program designed to provide financial assistance to help all students meet state academic standards. In the Randolph County School System, schools qualify for Title I funding based on poverty data. Elementary schools are eligible if at least 40% of their students qualify for free or reduced-price meals, while secondary schools must meet a 55% threshold.
Eligibility for free or reduced-price meals is automatically determined through direct certification, a federally mandated process. Direct certification uses data from programs such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), Medicaid, and Foster Care services to identify students who qualify.
